The Italian version of The Witness premieres in Rome, presented by Cinetica.


12/4/2007 - TOH News
New publicity and event materials for activists and community educators showing The Witness are released on the Tribe of Heart web site.


10/12/2007 - Award
The Witness wins a Best Documentary award at the STEPS International Rights Film Festival in Kiev, Ukraine.


10/7/2007 - Premiere
The Witness has its Ukraine premiere, and the first ever screening of the film with Russian subtitles, at the STEPS International Rights Film Festival in Kiev, featuring films on human rights, animal protection, the environment and other social justice issues.


9/30/2007 - Speaking Event
Tribe of Heart Co-Founder James LaVeck gave the keynote speech at Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary’s annual Open House and Fundraiser.

Rough cut completed of Peaceable Kingdom: The Journey Home. Work begins on fine cut.

Russian-subtitled version of The Witness completed. To be included on the next PAL (European format) DVD release, date to be announced.

The Witness is broadcast twice nationally on Link TV, with four repeat broadcasts on August 3, September 24 and September 26.

Tribe of Heart co-founders James LaVeck and Jenny Stein publish their essay Project for the New American Carnivore: From Lyman to Niman in 10 short years.


7/1/2007 - TOH News
New multi-lingual version of The Witness is released on NTSC DVD format (usable in North America, Central America,and parts of South America and Asia). New languages includes Spanish subtitles, Spanish dubbing, French subtitles, Japanese subtitles, and closed captions in English. The new multi-lingual DVD can be purchased here .

New, lower prices introduced for The Witness DVD. $15 for NTSC (North American) format, $17 for PAL (European) format.


6/27/2007 - TOH News
Tribe of Heart signs a 3-year contract with LinkTV for national broadcast of The Witness via their satellite channel. LinkTV will also broacast The Witness through a new cable streaming TV technology in New York, Los Angeles, and other major urban markets. LinkTV is available in 26 million homes on DIRECTV channel 375 and DISH Network channel 9410.

Tribe of Heart Co-Founder James LaVeck gave three presentations at the Vegetarian Summerfest in Johnstown, PA. Titles of his talks were:

5/12/2007 - Award
The Witness wins a Best Documentary award at the Open Your Eyes! International Film Festival in Prague.


5/11/2007 - Premiere
The Witness has its Czech premiere, and the first ever screening of the film with Czech subtitles, at the Open Your Eyes! International Film Festival. Held in Prague, this is the first European festival dedicated to showcasing films about animal issues.

The Witness is released on PAL DVD format (usable in Europe, Australia, Africa, and parts of South American and Asia). New multilingual DVD includes: English subtitles, Spanish subtitles, Spanish dubbing, German dubbing, Czech subtitles and Swedish subtitles. PAL DVD can be purchased here.
