News from Tribe of Heart, Producers of PEACEABLE KINGDOM: THE JOURNEY HOME and THE WITNESS
Dear Friends, During this season of family and togetherness, we want to express our gratitude to the Tribe of Heart community by sharing this new video, Marching to a Different Drummer: The Unexpected Challenges and Deep Rewards of Following Our Heart's True Calling. It is based on an inspirational talk James gave last Summer, following a year-long break from conferences, public speaking, and publishing, during which we were launching production of our new film project (more details about that coming soon!). In the aftermath of losing both our fathers in 2014, James and I gained an even deeper appreciation for the rare opportunity we have to make a difference in the lives of others. The encouragement and support of people like you is what empowers us to pursue so many worthwhile projects that enrich our lives with meaning and purpose, and which, in turn, are touching so many other lives, thanks to the dedication of our international team of volunteers. So when given the chance to address an audience of people mostly new to justice activism, the result was Marching to a Different Drummer, which we hoped would motivate some to explore pursuing a life of service. We were happily surprised to find our message struck a chord and was enthusiastically received, not just by newcomers, but by seasoned activists as well. In sharing this new video with you today, we hope in some small way to return the warmth, faith and support that has fueled our efforts over these past 16 years.
